Jen Tousignant, MSW, LGSW
Supervised by Sarah Cross

Jen Tousignant earned her Master of Social Work degree from the University of Kentucky and brings a unique combination of clinical training, educational expertise, and a strong commitment to supporting children, teens, adults, and families. Before entering social work, Jen worked in the Twin Cities area as a Special Education Teacher and later as a Special Education Coordinator. In those roles, she gained extensive experience supporting individuals with diverse learning, emotional, and behavioral needs, while also collaborating closely with families, school teams, and community providers.
Jen’s background in education gives her a strong understanding of human development, the school system, and the challenges many individuals and families face when navigating educational, social, and mental health supports. This experience naturally led her to pursue clinical social work, where she could provide more direct therapeutic support across the lifespan.
Jen is passionate about helping children, adolescents, and adults feel seen, supported, and empowered. Her clinical interests include working with anxiety, emotional regulation difficulties, behavioral challenges, trauma histories, relationship concerns, life transitions, and school- or work-related stress. She uses a strengths-based, relational approach and believes in the power of safe relationships to foster growth and resilience. Jen has experience working in school-based and outpatient settings and enjoys collaborating with caregivers, partners, educators, and community supports to help clients thrive.
Jen is especially passionate about early intervention, trauma-informed care, and collaborative work with families, while also supporting teens and adults in building coping skills, improving emotional wellness, and navigating life’s challenges. She is committed to providing compassionate, inclusive, and individualized care to every client she works with.
